"Our job is not to deny the story, but to defy the ending--to rise strong, recognize our story, & rumble with the truth until we get to a place where we think, Yes, this is what happened. This is my truth and I will choose how this story ends."

-Brene Brown

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and unique to the individual. My approach to your individual needs and preferences is founded in providing safety, non-violence, adaptive processing and somatic resourcing informed by Attachment theory. Additionally I utilize the cognitive theories, combining elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also use structures from Existential Therapy, so as to incorporate mind, body and spirit to treat holistically. In sessions I use Motivational Interviewing and a Solutions Focused Approach as well. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that is sacred, safe, patient, hopeful and compassionate. I see you as through a view of high value and immense dignity. I feel it is an honor be privy to your story and walk along side you as you discover and gain insight about the gems within.
